China on Tuesday urged the Dalai Lama to stop his “separatist activities,” five days after Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader alleged soldiers opened fire on a crowd in southwest China. “We still hope that he stops separatist activities and makes more contributions to the development of Tibet and his motherland,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang said in response to a question on the alleged incident.
